West Sound (Ayrshire)
West Sound is a local radio station in Ayrshire. Based in Ayr with its AM transmitter in Symington, South Ayrshire and its DAB transmitter in Darvel, East Ayrshire, the station forms part of the Bauer City 2 network in Scotland and northern England.
==Programming==
The majority of West Sound's programming is taken from the Bauer City 2 network, although there are separate Scottish shows at peak times, including weekday breakfast and drive time.〔(Schedule released for Bauer City 2 stations ), RadioToday, 19 December 2014〕 The only local programming on the station is live football commentaries on Saturday afternoons, airing under the ''Game On'' banner.
Networked programming originates from Clyde 2 in Clydebank, Key 2 in Manchester, Forth 2 in Edinburgh, Metro Radio 2 in Newcastle, Tay 2 in Dundee and Bauer's headquarters at Golden Square, Soho.
